Just another blog about knitting, fractals, baking bread, military aircraft, and quotidian life.

Sad, Sad Day
My mother died this morning. She had cancer and had been in the hospital and nursing home since August. She wasn't in any pain from the cancer and in the end she just slipped away in her sleep. She was 84, almost 85.

Mary,
So sorry for your loss.
You have always been a bright spot in the Usenet world and I hope you can work thru this difficult time.

I'm a retired NASA aerospace research engineer. I've knitted for over half a century, at varying levels of activity; I've taken it up again fairly recently. I love the new yarns, both the novelties and the luxury fibers, and I'm really enjoying it. I greatly enjoy cooking, particularly baking bread. I also bead and I create fractal art, which you can see if you click My Fractal Art.
